Well tonight I deliberately slowed down, I have been having motivational trouble by the end of the week so I was thinking if I slowed it down, and took it a bit easier I might have more gumption for the weekend. But I have to say that it was not fun, I wanted to run faster and at times had a hard time holding back, I also didn't take any anti-inflammatory  meds. tonight and my knee was a bit achy, not bad... just annoying.

That freekin doll looks so realistic its haunting! Nice miles Lori, be careful out there!

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Dec 11, 2008 at 12:55:46

Thanks, Walter... Is haunting a good thing for dolls???

From walter on Thu, Dec 11, 2008 at 13:02:46

Yeah as far as dolls go for sure yes. If I was a kid though I would have to make my parents hide it from my room. Too spooky. lol

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Dec 11, 2008 at 13:30:22

I have had people tell me that dolls are spooky or they creep them out. I have never felt that way... I think it's funny to hear it. :)

When I was a kid, my parents had to lay all of my dolls face down or I wouldn't sleep.

Ok- your "slowing down" is not so SLOW!!! You need to post your lap paces. I'd love to see them!

When my oldest 2 daughters were around 4 and 5 years old I sent a photo of my daughters faces to this company that did that and when they sent me the dolls, they were hidious. I was too afraid to give them to them for Christmas but did it anyway and it scared the crap out of my oldest daughter when she saw it. I had to send them back for a refund. Funny huh? My grandmother was into collecting dolls and has quite the display of old ones.

I didn't have alot of dolls as a little girl, but the ones that I had I loved alot, never got creeped out by them, and I was sure they came to life when I was asleep. Like Toy Story. Neither of my daughter have liked dolls too much, but I think my youngest granddaughter might :)I bet your grandmothers has a fun collection.

Yeah she had quite the collection. I have no idea what happened to them or if they are still in her house up in Grandview, Washington. She passed away 2 years ago.

Marion,

I just have a little timex watch that I run with and I don't know how to do the lap pace thing. Don't tell my husband but I know that he got me a garmin for Christmas LOL he used my email address when he ordered it online. I didn't have the heart to spoil it for him. So after Christmas I will be all techy like the rest of the bloggers LOL. I hope I can figure it all out. I'm not that good with gadgets.

YEAH!! I love "surprises" ;) You are going to LOVE it!!!

a tip I just found on the blog, when you are typing in your entry, Sasha has a pace finder at the bottom of the menu on the left, you can type in your time and miles and it will compute the pace for you. I don't know how long it has been there, but I just noticed it a few weeks ago.
