Well I felt pretty good about today's race until I looked at my time from last year. I'm 61/2 minutes slower then last year... AGHHH that sucks so bad!

The race was pretty good, my main objective was to finish feeling good and that was accomplished, so in that fact I'm happy. Also I knew about all the hills so again my goal was to not have to walk too much on the hills. Mission accomplished again!! When I was almost to the top there was a guy pushing a jogging stroller that passed my on the down hill like I was standing still, so when I saw him running the big hill at the end I made the goal to pass him... and I did !!! So there were some very good things about it to.

CONGRATULATIONS! One race down and no injuries in sight! Good plan! Way to beat the dude with the baby! My last race, my whole goal was not to lose sight of these 7 and 11 year old sisters :) We have to have standards... goals if you will ;) That was a great race! We need to do a 10 K together this summer. I want to break an hour!

10th in your age division is fantastic! I've never gotten that low in my age division. Hills are a killer. Good job running them.

Congratulations on your race! Your splits look really good if it was a hilly course! Bravo!

Thanks so much ladies... you make me feel good, but do you read that I was 6 and 1/2 minutes slower the last year... same course! I don't know what is happening to me, but it sucks!

But I guess I will try to look on the bright side and I felt good finished and feeling stronger then I have in a while. I just hope maybe I can get some of my speed back, not that I was supper fast though. LOL

Lori you rock! Don't worry about the 6.5 minutes slower - think about how next year you're going to be a lot faster! What matters is that you felt good! Hilly courses are tough!

From huans32 on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 11:19:32

Wow great run. I hear that is quite a hill course. You did Great!!

From Snoqualmie on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 11:33:18

I know that 6.5 min hurts, but you have had some challenges in the past year that must be accounted for. You pushed yourself enough to pass that guy with the stroller, so you were running your best race *on that day*. Onward!
