I think after sleeping so long on Friday, I could not sleep last night. Tossed and turned all night, I put that I slept 5 hours but it was probably more like 31/2.

Ran 6.5 in 62:20

Very slow, but felt good, could have run more but needed to take a potty break, couldn't talk myself into starting up again after.

I ran my 6 miles in 56 min almost to the dot. Then I decided to finish the hour. So I ran 6.5 in 60 minutes 25 seconds.

This felt much better then yesterday, I had to hold myself back... I wanted to go faster.

Did my 6 miles in 57:47, then just ran a bit more to do a 10K. I was surprised that I felt as good as I did. I have a terrible nights sleep.

I didn't have much time. This is another reason why I need to change my schedule and run before work and not after. Any way did 3.1 in 27:30. Didn't feel too bad, probably should have took it a bit slower but like I said not much time and I wanted to get at least 3 miles in.

It was 2:58:2? Can't remember the seconds. I will edit when Striders posts the time.

Well all I can say is YAHOOOO! I was very happy to finish feeling as good as I do. After a terrible half a few weeks ago... this was wonderful. I'm realizing now that restricting my calories in hopes to loose some weight is not good before running a race. It is hard though to want to loose that last 10-15 pounds knowing that running will be much easier and better for my body in the long run. But I'm certain that this was my down fall on the half. I eat much better the past few weeks and made sure I was drinking plenty and it defiantly showed in how I felt.

I could not have asked for better weather. Not too hot... not too cold. I thought the course was good. Loved running by the horses and watching them chase us by the fence. It was almost like they were saying... watch, I'll show you how to do this and how much fun running is. They were fantastic! For me, I love to run when the sun is at my back. As my friend and I were running I would watch our shadows, and think to myself how great it was to be there with her, both feeling strong.

Also congratulations to the top three men, all with their Fast Running Blog shirts on. That was fun to see.

Well my time and my body don't show it... but in my heart and mind... today I was a Kenyan!
