I'm disappointed in my race results, but not surprised. I knew that I had not been feeling well the past few months plus the added bonus of shin splints. Then on top of it all this is one of the hardest 5K courses I have ever run. John from Stiders, who puts on the race, jokes that it's a 5K that feels like a 10K. After seeing Nate (massage guy) last night my shin felt better then they have in at least a month, then my compression sleeves were in the mail last night so they were great to run with. I can just hope that I continue to feel better and better, slowly up my miles and the drop a few extra pounds.

Your race time was GREAT! I am sorry that things did not go as well as you had hoped, but hey, this is the first race after a CRAPPY winter- things can only get better :D

Hang tough sister!

Sorry to hear you had a bad race. I did, too!!! I don't think I'll ever run that one again. This was my third time and it seems to get harder each year.

It sounds like your time is really good considering the course. I've never done as well as 10th in my age division.

Hang in there. Things are bound to get better.

Thanks everyone... I hope I continue to feel better. I can't say that I'm looking forward to the other two races that are around the same area.

Don, you didn't post your time... Are you doing the whole circuit?
