Took it slow and easy tonight. My right hip is still buggn' don't know if it's just arthritis or something more. I had read on someone's blog about making protein bars etc. to save money and I found this recipe the other day in the back of a magazine as I was stretching at the gym. I have not made it so I can't say whether they are good or not. But is someone makes them before me let me know if you like them. 4:33 miles - average 9:33
Homemade Nutrition: Delphene's Protein Bar Recipe By: Ironeline Archive 3 1/2 cups rolled oats 1 1/2 cups dried milk 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 cup light syrup 2 scoops protein powder 2 large egg whites or 1 egg 1 1/4 cup orage juice 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup raisins or dried fruit and chopped. Line cookie sheet with waxed paper and preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all the ingredients thoroughlt. Spread onto sheet, press cutting lines in to make 10 pieces. Bake 15 minutes until golden brown, cut apart, then cool and wrap. Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
