So I think I left my brain on the pillow this morning when I got up... I knew that the forecast said it was be raining around 5pm, so I thought I could beat the rain... but I didn't take into consideration the drop in temp and the wind chill. I didn't pack the gym bag according to the conditions. :( So I ended up doing an hour on the eliptical at the gym... lots of stretching and sit-ups. Guess I will chalk it up to cross training right? Hopefully I will be better prepared tomorrow :)

Lori, I think you said you are doing the Winter Series, are you going to do the 30K on April 25th, I am thinking I might do it, I need a good long training run for Ogden and it is so much more fun to have done with a group, plus isn't it the first part of the marathon course?

Hey, you got your miles in! Good girl!

Leslie,

I'm running the 30K I hope it will be better weather then the 1/2. I know that the 1/2 course is the first half of the marathon, for the most part. But I think the 30K starts and ends at the Red Moose Lodge. So it's around the valley.

Dang, I was hoping it would be down the canyon, now I will have to re-think this.

I'm glad you could get to the gym and get some cross-training in. That nasty cold and wind.

Come on Leslie... it's not too bad... around the damm... then up by the monistary...throught the town, back around the damm and your done :) easy as that right?

Lori, I would be so slow, I would be doing probably an average of 13 min. miles for that distance, maybe I should see if I could be a sweeper? What pace will you be running?

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Apr 09, 2009 at 14:50:01 from 207.225.192.66

I would like to say that I will run it around 9:30 pace, but in reality I will probably be closer to 10:00 - 10:15.
