Met Sue at the Monroe parking lot on the parkway. We ran down the parkway...into Fort Buenaventura  had to stop in the fort for a potty break. Then we ran back up to the car... as we were approaching the car I told her we were almost to 12 miles, and asked if she wanted to stop at that or go to 12. She informed me that she wanted to go to 13! I said OK and we proceeded up the parkway farther. At the 13 mile mark she said we needed to do 13.1 LOL This is the farthest she has run since her injurie. It's so great to have her back running with me on Saturdays. I have missed her soooo much.

Nice run! AND nice paces as well...I think a headwind is sometimes worse than an uphill!!! Glad your running partner is back...makes a HUGE difference.

Nice run. That looks like a pretty cool place.

What's your new avatar about? It has an optical-illusion feel to it!

Thanks ladies... it was a nice run and great to see that Sue is back to being able to run this far!

Sno, the fort is pretty cool... there are always teepee's around the little pond, lots of treess. It's a little oasis in the city LOL... the avatar is a picture of Sue and my legs after we did our birthday run up in the mountains. It had rained a bit the night before and our legs were all dirty. It's kind of hard to see in the picture.

Wow, Metcalf, those are nice splits for a 1/2 when you weren't even racing. Nice new avatar too.
