Two steps forward... one back :( Took my youngest to the cornea specialist after work last night and she has lost a bit of vision. The inflamation is not undercontrol... so new drops again. These ones are a bit scary because they are steriods. The problem is that they can either help with the inflamation... or make the virus come back. I go see my NP doc in a week. I will have her do a perscription for blood work of my daughter, then have my daughter see her. Maybe there is something that can help that way.

Daughter and I went to the gym after the eye appointment. Did a bit on the elliptical and then lots of stretching... hamstrings are very vary tight!

I'm so sorry that you're having such a struggle with that eye. I hope that the steroids help and don't hurt.

You do seem to be spending a lot of time and building a strong relationship with your daughter, though.

Also, is it possible for hamstrings not to be tight? Just wondering because mine are crazy tight.

Thanks Carolyn... I'm hoping these drops do the trick and we get this under control. Even at seventeen she is a fun girl hang around with, and for now she dosn't seem to mind hanging with me, so I will enjoy it while I can.

That's too bad about the health issues. What a bummer. Your NP might tell you this too (many of them know - mine does), but the Paleo diet or low carbohydrate diet is both anti-inflammatory and anti-viral. Let me know if you want references. Good luck to you both.

That's so great that you can go to the gym with your daughter!

Sorry about the issues with the eye - that's a scary thing to mess around with. I hope you can find a solution quickly!

Nice work on keeping up with the x-training and cardio, while the knee is recovering.

Thanks for your lovely concern every one, you really don't know how much I appriciate this blog, especially now that I'm not officially a runner yet.

Snow, after you had put a link to that garden of eating cook book I have been doing research and sneaky planning on how I can get the family converted. It will take some baby steps.. but I'm motivated to get some changes going.
