So I really had not expectation of what my run today was going to be like. My quads are still rather stiff, so I thought I would just take it as it came. The first mile was a bit on the painful side, but as I kept moving it got better and better until I can say that I actually enjoyed most of the run. I ran the upper part of the park way and was surprised to see that the river has overflowed the underpass at Washington Blvd. last time it was about to my knees, this time I'd say it would have been about to my shoulders if I had went under there. I don't know if they will be able to clear that much water my the marathon. They have had to divert the runners in past years. It's really not that big of deal, but I'll try to keep you posted. Seen my regulars on the path, and a new regular. An older couple, the man has a braid like Willy Neilson, kind of looks like him too. But I have yet to get them to smile or wave at me like my other regulars LOL. Only a couple of draw backs on my run... I had grabbed my trail runners, when I packed my gym bag in the morning. I thought it was going to bug me, but I had not trouble. Then there was one guy that had a huge husky looking dog on the longest leash I have ever seen. It was not one of the retracktable ones, it was just super long. I thought to myself ...what is the purpose of such a long leash. The dog could attack some one in the next county and he could do anything, it would take him forever to pull all the leash in. I had to run off the path and in the bushes to stay away from the dog. Some people !!!
