Snuck out lunch to get my run in, I hope this will give me a bit more time at home to get some things accomplished before the weekend. Nice run for about 95% of the run. As lucky as I am to be able to run on a beautiful parkway by the river at lunch, I still hate the gravel and railroad that I have to run on to get to it. It's only the first 1/2 mile and last 1/2 mile though so I'm not going to complain. But today that last bit was particularly difficult... I guess my legs were more tired then I thought. Kept it pretty slow and easy.

Way to be sneaky. 95% isn't bad.

Wasn't Ogden originally a railroad town? Back in the 1930s, my grandparents lived in Ogden and, according to my mom, my grandmother would get a lot of guys who rode the rails showing up at her door asking for food.

Yes the railroad was very big back in the day. There are a few trains now... not too many. And the new frontrunner system runs beside the old rail tracks. The ones that I have to run by and across have not been used for a very long time.
