I'm off work today, so I slept in a bit. I usually get my run finished before my hubby has to go to work, but today I took off for my run as he was taking off to head to work. The temp thing at the city building I passed said 77 degrees, I should have started earlier. My left heal had hurt for about the first half mile... then it felt fine so I thought it was going to be a nice run... warm but good. Then it all feel apart at the 2.41 mile mark. I thought at first I just had a stuffy nose, but the I realized I was having a bloody nose. AUGHHH! I stopped at a house that still had their sprinklers on and tried to wash my hands and shirt and get it to stop. After about 5 minutes of trying I could tell it was just getting worse. I wadded up my RHPC shirt to my nose and started my walk back home. I looked like something out of a slasher movie by the time I got home. Hand and arms covered, face and shirt. I never expose my tummy when I'm out running, it was humiliating having my marshmellow white, jiggley tummy exposed while I was walking home... I finally got it stopped, but I don't think I will go out and try to get any more miles in.

Tomorrow is my annual birthday run with my running friend. We both have July birthdays! So we run the trails up by snowbasin ski resort and then have breakfast at the Oaks in the canyon. It is a great tradition! We were not able to run it last year due to Sue's injury so we are both really looking forward to it. This will be the first year I've had my garmin so I will know just how far this run is. I estimated it to be about 10 miles before. I guess will see. I'm off to get a massage and get me a new sewing machine for my birthday, it's Sunday. My old sewing machine broke about two years ago, and when I went to get it repaired they said for the cost to repair it, it was better to buy a new one. Oh I think my average pace for the pathetic miles I put in today was 9.09mm

Have a good day blogger!

I'm sorry you had a bloody nose. No fun.

Your birthday tradition is so cool. Have a fun run with Sue. Is she the one we had dinner with before the Ogden marathon?

Congratulations on your new sewing machine. I need to get some work done on my sewing machine.

And Happy Pioneer Day and Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday! What a lovely birthday tradition. The run, the lunch, AND the sewing machine.

Checked out your website yesterday - I love your work! It looks like a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday tomorrow!! I hope you had a great run today. Sorry about the bloody nose, I have a suspicion you'll probably be running with tissues now :) Enjoy YOUR day on Sunday!!!
