I knew that I needed to get a run in before work, but I still pooped around a bit and got a later start then I should have. I don't know if it was my run last night, or the turn around from running in the late afternoon to running in the morning, or maybe the combination of both. But my legs were very tired! Also had a weird pain, kinda sharp in my left heel for the first 1/4 of a mile. The middle 1/2 miles or so was about the only part of this run that felt OK. I still packed my gym bag, but I have a Dr. App. after work in SLC, so will see if I have time to get any more running in. DH wants to hike Malan's Peak again, so I might be doing that. I told him as long as it's not raining too much. I can handle running in the rain, but hikeing those reall steep hills, gets a bit too slippery for me.

Nice job this morning. I think it was a tough morning all around.

Trails are CRAP in the rain! Did you know that I can't eat my own hashbrowns anymore? Bill wrecked them for me. Mine are greasless and boring!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 12:35:13 from 71.229.164.25

Yes, let's all go to Lori's house and eat hash browns again.

You ran pretty fast on those tired legs. Were you in a hurry because of the late start?

From Metcalf Running on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 12:42:03 from 207.225.192.66

Bill and I would love to have everyone over for hasbrowns and eggs! I can't cook them like him either so don't be sad Marion.

Carolyn, I must have been thinking I had to hurry a bit, but it was a hard one this morning. I'm still tired. LOL

A lot of fecal talk going on in here.

Sorry Burt... I try to clean up my potty mouth... oops there I go again LOL

From Burt on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 13:07:04 from 68.76.197.194

I can smell greasy hashbrowns and stinky diapers in here.

From marion on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 13:17:17 from 71.219.54.130

The dirty diapers are not from me! We are ALL potty trained around here now!!! :D VICTORY!!!!

Nice work Lori, those lead legs days are the hardest to push through but you did it at a great pace!!! Enjoy the hike if you go...hiking is my other love!

From Metcalf Running on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 14:25:22 from 207.225.192.66

Burt that is not a good combo... good thing I can't smell anything LOL

Marion I loved the day I didn't have to buy diapers anymore :)

Rachel... I love hiking too, but I can't say I really love Malan's Peak... it's just sooooo steep. I guess I love it when I'm done.

From RAD on Thu, Jun 11, 2009 at 15:46:45 from 67.166.99.8

Where is Malan's peak? I'm much more familiar with the Wasatch Front trails/peaks.

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Jun 11, 2009 at 16:21:00 from 207.225.192.66

I park at the top of 27th street in Ogden. Then the trail take off from there. Malan's is a short, just over 2 miles, steep hilke. So somtimes it's good because you can get a good work out and not have to go to far or too long.
