Today I was off work and baby sat my youngest grand son... It was so much fun just grandma time with no one else to bother us :) So I was home earlier than when I work so I went for my run. It was a bit warm but luckily for me there was a pretty hefty wind that kept me feeling a bit cooler then I would have. A young girl came running out of the parking lot in front of me, so I tried to stay with her for the run, she kept looking back at me I guess to see if I was still there, and right as I was gaining on her pretty good she stopped, then turned around to run the back. I gave her a high five and continued to my turn around point. I didn't see her after I turned back.

I will probably run tomorrow then take Thursday off because I will be babysitting the grandson again, but for the entire day.

Oh I have a question... my garmin was taking a long time to switch to the regular screen, the locating satalight bar was all the way finished but it wouldn't switch. so after about 2 minutes a just pushed the mode button and it switched. I reset it and started my run, but my times were faster then I anticipated them to be, could I have made it read my pace wrong? Just wonding if that is possible.

I think that is possible. I find that even if I move slightly while it's locating satelites, it takes forever. So generally I just take it off, place it somewhere, and turn it on. Then it doesn't take so long.

Keep an eye on it. When my old Garmin died, it was telling me I ran a thousand miles in ten minutes. lol

I haven't had to deal with bad garmins yet. Your splits do look good though - I think its right :)

Have fun with the little one!!

That's a little faster than your normal pace, isn't it. Did it feel like a harder effort? Maybe you were running faster in your effort to keep up with the girl.

My Garmin sometimes sits on the Locating Satellites screen for a long time with a full bar. I should try setting it down somewhere instead of walking around with it to see if it gets the satellites faster.

Well, I did feel like my effort was a bit more, but I didn't feel like I was running faster. I just thought I was tired/recovery thing. By the end I was glad to be done and I think I tried to speed up there just because I was getting close to being done.

Today I will I will try to take it easy, see what the garmin does.

Those stupid Garmins are finicky!!! I have started turning mine on in the house when I am getting dressed to run, then I do not have to worry about it. AND it always finds the satellite faster in my house than it does outside. Go figure???

You did great! Have fun with your grandson Thursday!
